Is it true that if Latinos were to learn English, they would benefit economically with better paying jobs?

Is it true that if Latinos were to learn English, they would benefit economically with better paying jobs? Is it true that the highest paying jobs are those that require English? Most dual-language countries cannot exist as a super-power due to inefficiencies at all levels of government and the private sector. English is the official language of the United States. Is it true that if Latinos were to learn English, they would benefit economically with better paying jobs?
There are already plenty of Latinos who know English, they alternately speak Spanish instead because they generally feel more comfortable with it. Some of them even speak English as their first language.

Language essentially isn't the problem in most cases; it's taking the time to apply themselves that is the real task. High paying jobs in America do require English, but then again, so does nearly every other job. However, the United States does not hold an ';official language';. That's a common misconception made by the masses, due to the fact that English is spoken a large amount of the time.

And also, dual-language countries can indeed survive as super-power. If California, undoubtedly one of the most diverse states in the US, were to disband from America and become it's own country, it would be (economically speaking) the fifth most powerful nation in the world. Is it true that if Latinos were to learn English, they would benefit economically with better paying jobs?
Well im a latina and i think that anyone who knows more than one language can get a good opportunity to get a better paying job. Also, it doesn't just have to do with how many languages you know, but on your educational background as well.

;p
Your statement of English being the official language of the USA is incorrect. Last I heard there was never an official language of the United States. Aside from that I would agree that speaking English would help in getting a higher paying job.
Indeed Latinos with good English skills can make excellent money as interpreters. Most companies pay higher wages to bilinguals.
If any people(s) were to learn English, they would benefit economically with better paying jobs.
Spanish/English bilinguals are in HIGH demand and paid top dollar.
In English speaking countries, yes they would.

In other countries, not they wouldn't
Very true. Almost as much as I made when I took over the Spanish accounts at my company.
Yes, It is very true! I wish more of them did know English,, it would be alot easier for them
