Is it true that waterproof mascara is bad for your eyes for everyday?

I'm going out to buy my first mascara (drugstore brand something), and I'd just like to know whether waterproof is something I should stay away from for first time.Is it true that waterproof mascara is bad for your eyes for everyday?
I've never heard it's bad for your eyes, but it is hard to get off, even with makeup remover and vaseline. All that rubbing can irritate your eyes and make your lashes fall out faster than normal.


I have my everyday mascara (Loreal double extend) and a water proof mascara (Maybelline). I only wear the water proof if I'm going to the beach/lake/ or that type of thing.





P.S. Covergirl has always burned my eyes. Strong chemical smell too. Might want to avoid.Is it true that waterproof mascara is bad for your eyes for everyday?
The only problem with waterproof is that it is hard to take off. Using eye makeup removers may cause irritation because the skin around the eye is very sensitive. If you use your normal face washing routine you will have to scrub a bit and eventually your eyelashes may come out(they will grow back).





The best thing is to save waterproof for swimming or when you will be sweating such as on stage or during photo shoots. The great thing is many formulas come in everyday and waterproof so when you find one you like you can stick with it.
it's hard to get off and starts to build up on your lashes. get a regular mascara unless you swim a lot.





here's a good tip though. if you do have to wear waterproof (or any kind of) mascara frequently, use jojoba oil instead of commercial makeup remover. it's much easier on the delicate skin around your eyes.





PS, I don't know how much money you can spend, but Lancome's Definicils are AMAZING.
