I want a life that isn't very stressful. I am pursuing my bachelor's degree right now and want to just get that and go to work. But some people say a bachelor's is equivalent to high school diploma and that a Masters is where is at. But isn't stress and a lot of responsibilities followed by jobs that require a Masters? Are Masters for people who want to drive the latest car and live in a 5 bedroom house? Is it true that you have to work harder if you have higher degree?
A degree has nothing to do with how hard you work. Nor is it even a record of dependibility or talent or ability. It proves that you went to such and such a school for this period of time. But if you have a DESIRE, a PASSION for what you do, whether you have a degree or not, that will make the real difference. Is it true that you have to work harder if you have higher degree?
It all depends on what your bachelor's degree is in. If it's a bachelors in engineering, you'll have to look no further towards additional education and still get a great job. On the other hand, a bachelors in sociology will get you nowhere.
Those';some people'; you mention either don't have a degree yet or are lifetime students that will not ever really know what it is to put their education to work.
The field you wish to earn your living in will determine the amount of education you'll need. Many won't need a Masters or higher and believe me when I tell you that as long as you work smart and not hard your life will not be any more stressful than you allow it to be. It is all up to you.
I have worked for another person (or company) my entire employed life but to this day I refuse to allow them or it to stress me out. I do my work, I do it well and that's that. Of course it does help that I like what I do. There's the key. Find what it is you really like to do and learn to do it well and you'll make all the money you want with little or no stress and with a happy home life too boot!
it's all about what you choose to do. you can have a master's and earn a decent salary and either have a stressful or a relaxed life.
if you choose to try and earn more and more money, you'll work longer and longer hours and potentially be stressed. consumerism is key here.
if you choose to live a life where you meet your needs and maybe a little extra, you'll have a much more relaxed lifestyle.
To become a certified public accountant you need 150 hours of college education. 30 of those hours need to be in accounting. The state is almost telling people to get a masters because an undergrad accounting degree only requires 120 hours. Education beyond the undergrad is becoming more common. Starting pay for a CPA candidate is around 50 to 60 grand. You then have to work long hours, 55 or more a week, to move ahead in the industry beyond entry level.
