Is it true that drinking too much vodka can kill you?

I forgot who it was but I once heard on the radio that some old time rock star had died because he drank too much. I think it said that he drank the equivalent of 44 measures of Vodka.


By the way, how much is one measure anyway?Is it true that drinking too much vodka can kill you?
you can die from alcohol poisoning.... 44 measures would be the equivalent of a bottle and 1/2. that's a lot. I have drank about 3/4 to a full bottle fo vodka before and I have blacked out for hours upon hours and woke up the next day and my brain was fried. remember alcohol eats the body, destroys brain cells and makes you do stupid things... don't get me wrong I drink all the time, most of it in moderation, but every now and then i let lose and go nuts.Is it true that drinking too much vodka can kill you?
Monday morning, my friend drank 2 full bottles of Vodka before coming to school and was trying to finish a third. he got about halfway and vomited it all back up. A teacher realized that he had alcohol poisoning and rushed him to the hospital. they treated him and the doctors said that if he had finished the third bottle, he would have died before making it to the hospital. some people think its funny to drink excessive amounts of alcohol, but my friend almost lost his life. so, yes, drinking too much of any alcohol can kill you, let alone Vodka.

well chronic use of any alcohol can lead to all sorts of health problems that can Kill you like psirosis(spelling) of the liver, and there is also Alcohol poisoning (caused by drinking to much of anything alcoholic at one time) which can also be deadly. So in short yes but the same goes with all alcohol.

Drinking too much of ANY alcohol can kill you. It has to do with the amount of it in your blood. The amount is probably different for different people based on metabolism, weight - etc. When I was in college - a very smart, funny, great guy died because he drank a whole bottle of scotch.





I don't know how much one measure is. But what's the point of drinking any more after you have a buzz? It's best to use common sense. Unfortunately - once you're drunk - you don't have much common sense.
Drinking to much of any alcohol can kill you......I would think what they mean by a measure would be equivalant to a shot. That is quite a bit of alcohol. It also varies from person to person how much would actually kill a person.
Drinking to much of any alcohol can kill you. It's called alcohol poisoning. Not sure what the measurement your asking for is. But people die every year from alcohol posioning. Thats why it's important for a person to know when to stop drinking at a party or cookout etc.
I think 44 m,s are 1 fifth /1qt/1ltr. Any large amount of pure grain alcohol can kill a person,[ie Alcohol Poisoning]


I know a few old timers that can put it away and Not act a fool- then there are others who are fools with nothing added!


i also think alot of people forget alcohol when combined with other medications can cause adverse reactions and Kill them selfs or others. If you can avoid it~ if You choose Drink responsibly and Please don,t drive!!!
You can over drink and die from alchohol posioning. Most measures are a 4 count pouring.
