Is it true that not doing crunches correctly can actually make you fatter?

I've heard that if you don't breathe when you do crunches or don't sit up correctly, you actually will make yourself fatter because it will cause bulk? Is this true?Is it true that not doing crunches correctly can actually make you fatter?
nopeIs it true that not doing crunches correctly can actually make you fatter?
no, that is not true... fat is accumulated by sitting around doing nothing while eating a large pizza and drinking beers. If you're doing crunches (whether it's the right way or wrong), you're actually burning more calories than not doing them, which in turn helps you lose the fat. On the other hand, doing crunches/situps incorrectly can cause injuries to your lower back, neck, hips, etc. So be careful and continue to do them as often as you want
NO, however working any muscle excessively will make it bigger and thus you may appear to be ';fatter.'; If you are not lean and have large abs, then the larger muscle will push the fat between it and your skin out futher, thus making you appear fatter, but it can not increase your fat and would likely reduce fat.
Your abdominal muscles, depending on how you train may in fact grow larger as does any muscle when torn and then repaired naturally. This is the process of growing stronger. Until you lose weight-body fat-you may appear larger. Cardio is a much needed part of training and toning up. Walking, biking, and spinning are excellent low impact fat burners. Good luck!
No. The only thing that makes you fatter is excessive calories.
Mate crunches make you abs tone up
