Is it true that not doing crunches correctly can actually make you fatter?

I've heard that if you don't breathe when you do crunches or don't sit up correctly, you actually will make yourself fatter because it will cause bulk? Is this true?Is it true that not doing crunches correctly can actually make you fatter?
Im not sure if its true or not. But the best and most acurite way to do crunches is laying flat on the ground and knees bent ( obviously). You should keep your hands close or behind your ears to give your neck some support. When you go up dont bring your whole body up jus lift your forhead up. Pull your forhead to the celling like a string is attatched to it. You should feel the burn within a few of these. No thats not true. You just don't maximize the output of your muscles. So you're basically doing the same amount of work but not getting the same result.

No you only get fatter when you consume more calories then you eat and the last time i checked doing crunches didnt have have calories!
