Is it true that jogging is harmful in the long run?

Despite its benefits, people and some doctors advise that since jogging has a tendecy to wear out joints, it should be avoided. Do you agree? Do you know anybody who actually suffered from joint problems after several years of jogging/running? Is it possible that such problems occur due to wrong way of jogging and can be avoided if one is cautious? Or is this unavoidable in the long run?Is it true that jogging is harmful in the long run?
no excercise, especially jogging, brisk walking and cycling , is bad for health unless the person overdoes it. One must start excercising only under a good trainer and take guidance, as low long or for how distance can/should u run, hwhat should the durantion of excertice. The trainer will get the estimate of what/how long is to be done keeping the individuals health/body condtionIs it true that jogging is harmful in the long run?

yes,it is harmful.
yes, my dad's joints was almost gone when the doctor advised him to cycle or swim. he likes to run. there's no wrong way or right way to jog.





its only harmful if you jog too much.
it is okay till u reach say 30/35. Then start other exercises.
Long Run? Yes you should not run tooooo long.
Not at all but there is an example for it like Orissa`s Bhutia.Government says he should not run.Befor he used to run for 40 KMs.
