Is it true that after your vehicle inspection expires, you have a month to get an inspection?

My inspection sticker expired May 31. Is it still legal to drive for a month afterward? Someone told me this, but said they weren't sure.Is it true that after your vehicle inspection expires, you have a month to get an inspection?
It needs to be done by your Birthday or the tag office will charge you a fee..Is it true that after your vehicle inspection expires, you have a month to get an inspection?
The rule is not the same in every state. Some states have a grace period. Some do not.
Not true, you have to get inspected by that date. The month you're refering to is only *if* you fail the inspection, then you can still drive it for 30 days, but you have to get it reinspected within those 30 days.

Get it inspected asap.
You can still drive and if you are pulled over, which is highly unlikely, you will usually only get a warning.
Most states will give a 5 day grace period but it is the officer's discreation whether or not they write a ticket
Yes it is true. I live in New Hampshire and you have 30 extra days to get your vehicle inspected. They don't broadcast it but you do. I was a service advisor at a auto dealership. Yes, you can drive until you get your new inspection sticker. But remember each state could vary in that rule so please check with your department of motor vehicles.

Rule of thumb.. get it over with and do it when it's due.
yes get it done
