I would like to colour my hair for the first time and someone told me not to wash it for at least 3 days before my appointment.Is it true that is advisable not to wash the hair before having it coloured?
I think it is better to not wash it for a few days. Your hair will catch the dye more if it is unwashed and you will like the results more. Wait more than just 24 hours. Three days is about right. no you should wash it just dont use conditioner. shampoo strips ur hair then conditoner puts that silky coating over it. the dye will come out with a more brilliant colour if you dont condition.

You should wait at least 24 hours, just so you have a layer to protect your scalp from harsh chemicals. 3 days is too much.
