Is it true that you con control the gender of the baby when conceiving?

I have heard many theries like on a full moon-boy , on a Saturday-girl, from the back-girl, from the front-boy, 2 days during ovulation-boy, lights on-boy, under covers-girl. Are any of those true and can you control what gender the baby will be?Is it true that you con control the gender of the baby when conceiving?
Check out The Shettles Method but it is not 100% scientifically proven. The Method teaches that the girl sperm is slower but lives longer and the boy sperm is faster but doesn't live that long. Depending on your cervical fluid inside, the girl sperm can possible live 3-5 days. So if you have sex few days before ovulation, depending on the fluid inside of you, the girl sperm can get to the egg. If you have sex close to ovulation or on that day, the faster boy sperm can get to them faster. Also, if you use lubricant like KY Jelly, Astroglide, Saliva, etc this can kill the sperm. I would suggest using PRESEED which is something like a lubricant but you insert it in your vagina 15 minutes before sex. You can check out www.preseed.com and if you read the posts, a lot of ladies have gotten pregnant from it because Preseed allows the sperm to live longer in that fluid.





As mentioned above, the Shettles Method isn't proven but it's very popular so it doesn't hurt to try. You can read more about it by google-ing it. Also, if you have your spouse/bf drink coffee 15 min before sex, it makes the sperm swim faster......another myth but it's worked for a lot of ladies.





More myths: From the back - boy because if you're about to ovulate, it gets the sperm closest to the cervix so since the boy sperm are faster, they're more than likely to get to the egg faster. From the front - girl.

the man controls the sex. Man has two testicals, one is female the other male. If the seaman is exerted from the male side then a boy it is same for female side.
i heard that if you want a girl you must be stressed most of the time
the only way to for sure control the sex of the baby is by invitro. Otherwise there is no for sure way to predict or control what gender baby you will have!

They say girl sperm has 30 % more fat, so she'll live longer in there waiting for you to ovu. Boys swim faster, so if your egg is waiting, they'll get right to it.


I've also heard making your vagina more acidic by duching w/vinegar makes girls (their fat can handle the acid) and duching w/ baking soda neutrolizes it for the boys.


My child development teacher told us abut the douching thing, I don't think should would have told us if she didn't believe it.

No... there is no way to control it per se, unless you have it manipulated in a lab by trained techs, and even then it cost $$$$.





That being said, the XY (male) sperm don't live in the vagina as long as the XX(female) sperm do. Also, the XX sperm swims slower. Theoretically, if you had sex 1-2 days before you ovulate, there is a chance that one of the XX sperm that is still alive from the previous ejaculation could fertilize the egg. Note that that is strictly a ';theory';, not fact...Good Luck!

lol... I have heard that too.. and Its not true... The husbands sperm chooses girl or boy... ummm now I've heard If their are more girls on your husband side your more than likely going to have a girl... boys same thing.. but who knows If that is true too...

No that's not true. Those are all old wives tales. Only God knows what you will have not you until you get an ultrasound at 20 weeks. You can't control the gender and anyway you should be happy with what God gives you.
